Contests Closed, 2006 Ending
December 30th, 2006 | Updates | Robyn
Well, well, here we are at the end of the year. It’s been interesting, and next year will be even more so with the release of the fifth movie and more information about the seventh and final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Both the Fan Art Challenge and Fiction Contest are closed now, and we’ll be posting the entries for voting this weekend. [First the FAC, then the Fic Contest.]
Since you have to wait just a little longer for voting to open, I’ve posted a holiday piece that was originally part of something larger that I had to set aside for other things. [Not that the project is gone for good, I may still do it. ;) You’ll see!]
Have a safe and happy New Year!
FAC: Deadline Extension
December 26th, 2006 | Updates | Robyn
Meh. You guys have got to get with the program! There’s only ONE entry for the Fan Art Challenge this month. I’ll give you guys another week to enter something. [Or resend your entries if yours got lost somehow. We’ve got Eveningstar’s entry [very nice, by the way], but I know there’s more artists out there amongst you! Get your entries in before the new year!
Also, while we do have more than one entry in the Fiction Contest, you still have another 24 hours to get your entries in!
Book Seven Title!
December 21st, 2006 | News Alert | Robyn
I’ve been busy running around here at home and playing video games, so I didn’t notice that both TLC and MuggleNet have posted about the door being open on JKRowling.com. [Tomoko sent me a message, thanks!] You can find the steps to open the door on either site, and once you get in, you can play a game of hangman to find out the title of the seventh and final book. We’ll hide the title under the fold here, but you can click through to read it if you don’t want to play hangman for it. You can also read it on Scholastic’s homepage as well.
There is also a discussion of what the new title could mean here in our forums. Registration is required to read and comment. ^^
Happy Holidays!
